Ginger lemonade

--> recette en français

    I had the occasion to taste a delicious home made ginger lemonade in a little restaurant in Paris a few weeks ago and it was so good that I told myself I would have to make one myself at home soon because I'm a big fan of ginger! If there is some in a dish, a dessert or a drink, I'll choose this one for sure, this is one of my favorite or maybe even my favorite spice.

   This lemonade can be enjoyed all year long but it is a real healthy and tasty treat to enjoy during very hot days in summer. Really easy to prepare, you'll just need basic ingredients : water, sugar and fresh ginger to make the syrup, freshly squeezed lemons and a little more water and you're in heaven!

   And beside giving a nice flavor to the drink, ginger has many qualities, it helps to digest, it's rich in antioxidants, iron and magnesium. And if you're pregnant, it also fights nausea.

   This lemonade will be perfect to enjoy chilled at home, in picnics, at work or even after a sport activity when it's getting hot!

  • Squeeze the lemons and pour their juice in the jars, add the remaining 3 cups of cold water and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
